Frye has done it again. These boots are not only super cool, with a feminine-but-rugged/tough edge, but they are also incredibly comfortable. Frye puts a foam cushion in all their boots, so walking feels soft and squishy (in a good way!).

These have leather soles covered with a rugged layer of rubber, so you don't have to worry about wearing them in the rain (especially if you buy a weatherproof dressing, which is like shoe polish but clear and greasy).

Another great thing is that the buckles are REAL--read: functional. When I received my boots, I tightened the buckle at the top of the boot, as well as one of the lower buckles, for a more streamlined fit.

The red color is beautiful, like bricks with a slightly orange hue. But be aware that your boots might arrive with some darker spots on them. Mine have a wishbone-shaped dark area on the inside shaft of one of them. I attribute this to variations in the leather and the slightly "vintage" look of the polish. I've seen this kind of thing on other red Fryes, so I think it just goes with the territory.

Overall, I LOVE LOVE LOVE these and get compliments on them all the time. There's hardly been a day I haven't worn them since I got them.
