The Indah story all started with an ambitious girl named Libby De Santis who had a dream-a dream to make clothes which fit the laid-back, fun-in-the-sun, beach lifestyle she and her friends led. Beautiful, interesting, fun, sexy and comfortable clothing is exactly what Indah is all about. De Santis founded the Indah label in 1996 with help from business guru Joe Paskal. Soon after, she left her hometown of Hanalei, Kauai and moved to Bali, Indonesia with her husband Joe to launch her clothing company. In fact, Indah means “object of beauty” in Balinese. Each season, Libby’s focuses on creating original, hand drawn screen prints by using the old-age art of Batik wax stamps. She also uses an amazing natural dye "alam" factory where they grind up leaves, bark and flowers for color. The results are stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces that easily set you apart with their signature style. Swell is excited to offer the Indah brand.
