  • What makes this leather eco? The leather used on the Pu’ali is sourced from one of the most environmentally friendly tanneries in the world. The tannery is unique in that is uses a closed-loop system in which nearly all resources and byproducts of the tanning process are reused or recycled within the tannery. The tannery has received the Leather Working Group’s “Gold Award” (highest rating) on its environmental assessment audit.
  • Other eco construction: The gum rubber outsole is infused with rice husks. The rice husk material is a locally grown agricultural byproduct with a very small environmental footprint. Adding the rice husks to the outsole reduces the amount of gum rubber used and reduces the overall environmental footprint of the product while maintaining quality, durability, and grip.
