I can't believe that someone gave these sandals a low rating. I couldn't be happier. I have bought a lot of sandals and Olukai definitely make the best sandals. They are excellent quality and extremely comfortable. I am not sure what the other rater was expecting, but these sandals beat my expectations on all measures. Of course, they need to be broken in, but that's because they are made of high quality leather. I expect to get a lot of good, comfortable, long use out of these sandals as I wear them to work, church the beach and everywhere else. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Okay, I wanted to write a review to possibly shed some light to the negative one.
OluKai Sandals should initially be stiff and uncomfortable imo. These are high quality leather goods that need to be broken in (its the same process for leather boots and shoes). Once broken in they are extremely comfortable because they formed specifically to your own feet. It just takes time and a little discomfort at first.
It took me about 3 weeks of wearing them to break mine it.
I do not work for OluKai, I am just a happy customer.
