Comments about RIP CURL FLASH BOMB CHEST ZIP 3/2MM FULL SUIT:
This is my 4th Rip Curl wetsuit. I have had a 2010 E-Bomb and a 2011 effF-Bomb (swell.com won't let me write the real name due to its profanity blocker). All are 3/2mm. I live in San Diego so the water temperature bottoms out at 55 degrees most years. I am 6'1" and 165lbs - fit perfectly into a size MT.
Pros: I like the suit, it dries very quickly as advertised due to the wool-like inside. However, it is kinda itchy at first - but improves with use. I do not notice the itchy anymore, but for the first few sessions it bothered me. Getting into a dry suit everyday is well worth it! It is not as warm as my old effF-Bomb, but as warm or warmer than by E-Bomb.
Cons: New string that is available to attach a car key is thicker, making it more sturdy, but it is also very difficult to fit my key on there. I have to really force the string through the key hole at the end of the key. It still works but wastes some time in the process.
Overall, great innovation in wetsuit design.
