Had worn the original Kanvas by Katin for decades and happy to see them coming out with a "correct" length boardshort again (I detest the long cut of shorts down to knees. Ridiculous looking & highly uncomfortable). Tried these and had to return them unfortunately.The 17" outseam is perfect (although they should stick with the straight hem instead of the scalloped cut) but the style/cut fits very weird. Waist size fit perfectly. However, the front rise seems too short, and no gusseted crotch seams makes the rear seam pull from the front and pulls on the snap-fly closure, which they don snap securely to begin with (velcro should have been used). If Katin fixes the cut/fit on these, they should work great (trying a different size would not help)
