I thought these would be actual boardshorts, but I am not sure they are ocean worthy. Got them too late in the season for shorts weather, so I am not sure...but they are made of cotton. Guess I missed that in the original description.

I loved these shorts in the picture, but in my opinion, what I received in the mail was not worth as much as the shorts cost. I like them, but they are only ok. I am 5'4'' and 115 pounds and the 3 felt pretty small. They aren't the most flattering shorts I've worn, but I do love the design. I think once they wear in I will like them more. I would recommend these shorts for their aesthetics rather than their comfort.
