Your family's reaction to you wanting to go pro: My parents have supported me since I started surfing...they wanted me to actually pursue my dream of becoming a pro surfer.

People's reaction when you tell them you're a pro: They usually think I mean an "Internet Surfer." I had a lady ask me how I made a living off the internet...I actually made up a story about me owning a multi-billionaire company. She bought it.

Career highlights: Tearing my MCLI. I realized how much I miss surfing and how bad I want to surf now that I can't for 6-8 weeks.

Biggest surprise from life on tour: I have learned some really good lessons traveling the world. Some good...some bad. Best one would be to never party in Bali for 8 days in a row.

Pro goals: Eventually try and make the tour...After that, well...I can't say how good I'll do...Everyone rips on that thing.

Career after pro life: Settle down somewhere quiet...Have my wife pop out a few kids...Enjoy my life as a family man and thank God everyday for the life He has given me...That might be too perfect though.

If you're not surfing, you're probably doing what: Making music at my house. I spent all my money on a home studio.

Heaviest influences: My local peers...Tim, Nathaniel, Dane, Bobby—guys like that.
