JOB PURPOSE 

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for S’well’s product portfolio and helping to deliver best in class products that support and grow the brand. The ideal candidate will report into the Director, Product Design & Innovation and play a key role in defining and driving our consumer product strategy, from initial opportunity through product launch and growth in the market. This role will be able to develop a clearly defined strategic vision and a product roadmap based on market and brand opportunities, economic success,  and competitive landscape.

This position executes cross-functionally to bring products to market, working closely with the heads of product design, engineering, production, marketing, and sales. Critical skills include analyzing market data and trends, establishing a product roadmap, merchandising and assortment planning, pricing by channel and country, assessing customer needs and feedback, and finally ensuring all products launch successfully and come to fruition in the market.

The position also includes collaboration with internal product design and guidance on creative graphic design specialists focused on the design of new product concepts, color, print, pattern, and packaging. The ability to maintain and evolve a brand’s visual legacy and essence is key, as well as the ability to inspire designers while facilitating the space to create.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Oversee and manage S’well’s product portfolio from strategy and conception through design, development, and product launch
  • Establish the product roadmap from opportunity to launch to growth
  • Create product development and production calendars/timelines that incorporate numerous moving parts and require extensive cross-functional collaboration with creative, sales, marketing and production teams
  • Methodically build out business cases through market research, trend reviews and analyzing consumer insight data in an effort to widen the breadth of S’wells product assortment.
  • Work with the sales teams to set target pricing and with the sourcing team to set costs and margin targets
  • Work with the marketing team to develop go-to-market planning and process execution for successful launch.
  • Work closely with our global team and external stakeholders to understand, analyze, and establish existing and new opportunities. Ensure product deliverables are aligned with the global commercial plan, as well as market and account needs
  • Utilize and interpret external market and sales data to build out long term product goals and deliver on near and long-term opportunities
  • Optimise our existing product assortment. Work internally to ensure brand fit and appropriate representation in channels across our product portfolio
  • Work with product design, development, engineering, and production teams to develop design briefs and guide the ideation and creation of new product and packaging opportunities
  • Full ownership of Slot Plans by customer. Working withsales team leads to merchandise assortments for channels and customers, utilizing customer research tools to gain insights on products, colors, patterns. Monitor sell-through data and adjust assortments as needed
  • Experience guiding and inspiring creative design specialists to deliver successful concepts that match the product portfolio roadmap and vision. Manage product design team on color, pattern and collections related to product assortments and product design
  • Monitor new product success and performance and adjust future portfolio accordingly

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have a serious love for consumer products! (yes, a product nerd)
  • 7-10 years of previous experience in a similar product role, preferably in CPG or e-commerce
  • You are an influential leader AND doer with the ability to inspire and motivate
  • You are passionate and persuasive about ideas and innovation and have a proven track record of successfully implementing product launches from start to finish
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative background - - comfortable finding and interpreting market and competitive data /analytics to translate into actionable market strategies
  • Working experience with product portfolio economics (margins, forecasting, budgets, ROI)
  • Demonstrated success of launching consumer products with end-to-end knowledge
  • Experience collaborating with designers, engineers, sales, marketing and business teams
  • Hands-on understanding of consumer product experience, user needs, voice of customer
  • Excellent time management skills - able to work independently and move projects along while balancing multiple business priorities in a remote environment
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in product management/development, marketing, business or related field
  • Able to commute to NYC office upon potential re-opening in 2021

JOB PURPOSE 

S'well is looking for a Production Coordinator to support the day-to-day activities within our Production and Sourcing team. The ideal candidate will interface and work directly with our overseas suppliers and should be comfortable with working with vendors in different geographic zones.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assist the Sourcing Team with tasks required to assure on-time, successful production orders, manufacturing processes, new product development shipments and delivery to our customers and distribution centers.
  • Act as the Production Team’s liaison between the S’well Creative/Sales Team and the manufacturers for product decorations, artwork, sampling etc.
  • Coordinate production sampling and product approvals
  • Coordinate sales samples and delivery to sales teams
  • Coordinate supplier quality samples
  • Manage seasonal sample tracker with suppliers
  • Maintain master cost sheets with new pricing from suppliers, new innovation projects and packaging projects.
  • Maintain the tooling master sheet with new innovation projects tooling expenses.
  • Assist with steps in the master calendar for both seasonal and innovation projects where applicable.
  • Assist with Adopt Sheet creation used by the entire company for seasonal and innovation launches.
  • Assist with new product development quotes and RFQ process.
  • Assist with First Insight testing for innovation decoration project tests.
  • Provide direct support on packaging projects for S’well, S’ip and S’nack product lines.
  • Facilitate SKU data management, packaging artwork management, purchase order management and bill of Materials creation and management


QUALIFICATIONS

  • *Able to commute into our S’well Product Lab 2 times a week or as necessary 
  • 1-3 years of previous experience in a role, preferably in sourcing, supply chain or production; CPG industry preferred
  • Possess a self starter mindset and able to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects, stakeholders and priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and relentless follow-through in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills; “can-do” attitude and resourcefulness
  • Excellent verbal / written communication skills and ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate clearly and concisely with technical and non-technical teams, adjusting communication styles depending on type of target audience.
  • A team player who is open to feedback, works well with others and can bring teams to consensus
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and facilitation skills across diverse team functions and locations
  • Strong ability to interface with internal and external contacts at all levels. Ability to clearly communicate via verbal presentations and in writing.

PURPOSE 

The Order Management Specialist is responsible for managing the order process from the acceptance of an order through the completion of the process of invoicing. Working closely with the production, finance and sales teams, the Order Management Specialist will build collaborative relationships to support business plans and meet Targets and SLA. The position will include direct coordination with the Sales Team, reviewing and validating customer documentation, order entry, order acceptance, backlog management, and fulfillment.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the point of contact regarding order management questions and issues
  • Order fulfilling, including order entry, administration, shipping and delivery of goods, in a timely manner
  • Working closely with the sales account executive, manage customers’ orderbook for one of several assigned forecast channels and ensure on time and in full (OTIF) processing and shipping of all orders
  • Coordinate with the Planning team on material availability and timely shipments
  • Provide support to our AP department on invoicing/past due issues
  • Assist the Director of Customer Operations in meeting SLAs and Operational Targets
  • Liaise with outside vendors (3PL, Ticketing vendors, etc) as needed
  • In the spirit of continuous improvement, perform troubleshoot on all sales orders and assist to identify and execute various enhancement to daily processes
  • Work with production team to ensure factory shipments are placed, packed, picked up, and shipped in a timely fashion
  • Assist the sales teams on updating customer portals for new items, updating current items, and general product maintenance
  • Work closely with the Compliance team to ensure all orders are shipped according to the customer’s expectations / requirements. Also must be involved in the dispute process for any chargebacks received
  • Ability to review new contracts and updated contracts to ensure the team and 3PL is performing to the customer’s needs
  • Assist the EDI team on integrating orders into the ERP through to EDI Invoicing

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years previous experience in similar Order Management and Customer Service role
  • Upbeat and positive personality! Team player with can-do attitude and the ability to work closely with others to resolve issues

  • Outstanding time management skills
