Is my bottle breakable?
The Glass Original Bottle is made from high-quality, borosilicate glass, we urge you to treat it carefully and use caution. If your glass bottle breaks or cracks, dispose of it right away.
Does this bottle contain any plastic? What is it made from?
The Glass Original Bottle is made with zero plastic. The bottle is made from high-quality borosilicate glass, the sleeve is made from food-grade silicone, and the lid is made from 18/8 stainless steel with a food-grade silicone gasket.
Is the bottle insulated?
While the Glass Original Bottle is not insulated, it is a great choice if you're looking for a plastic-free bottle.
Can my bottle be used for hot drinks?
The bottle can be used for hot drinks, but we urge you to use caution with hot liquids and allow the drink to cool to a drinkable temperature before using. Ensure the lid is fully tightened after filling with hot liquids.
Is a straw included with my bottle?
Yes, a glass straw is included inside your bottle. The straw has a collapsible silicone bottom that folds the straw neatly inside the bottle when the cap is on. The straw is made from high-quality borosilicate glass and food-grade silicone.
Can I put my bottle in the freezer?
The Glass Original Bottle is freezer-safe when empty. Do not freeze with liquids inside.
Can I put my bottle in the microwave?
No, we don’t recommend you put your Glass Original Bottle in the microwave.
Can I put carbonated drinks in my bottle?
No, we don’t recommend using carbonated drinks in your Glass Original Bottle, as pressure buildup can cause the lid to pop off.
What is the lid made from?
The lid is made from 18/8 stainless steel with a removable food-grade silicone gasket for easy cleaning. The silicone gasket covers the stainless steel lid, so the lid does not impart any metallic taste.
Does the stainless steel cap screw directly onto the glass?
Yes! Our zero plastic, stainless steel lid screws safely onto the glass, creating a leakproof seal with a food-grade silicone gasket. In our effort to eliminate plastic, we chose not to use plastic threads in our Glass Original Bottle lid. You may notice some friction as the stainless steel lid closes against the glass, however it does not affect safety or performance and is a small trade-off for a cleaner, plastic-free design.
Is my bottle free from lead and BPA/BPS?
The Glass Original Bottle, lid, and silicone sleeve are free from lead, non-toxic- BPA/BPS-free, and phthalate-free.
Can I put my bottle in the dishwasher?
The Glass Original Bottle is fully dishwasher safe, including the silicone sleeve and lid. For a deeper clean, we recommend hand washing with warm, soapy water and using our Bottle Brush to get into the small mouth opening. Let the bottle dry with the lid removed. Do not use cleaners containing bleach, chlorine, abrasives and/or other harsh chemicals.
Is the silicone sleeve removable?
It is not necessary to remove the silicone sleeve for dishwashing. If you need to remove the sleeve, carefully twist and pull it off.
Can I bring my bottle through airport security?
Yes, you can bring your bottle through airport security. Be sure to remove all liquids before bringing it through security.
