No, we don’t recommend you put your Glass Original Bottle in the microwave.

No, we don’t recommend using carbonated drinks in your Glass Original Bottle, as pressure buildup can cause the lid to pop off.

What is the lid made from?

The lid is made from 18/8 stainless steel with a removable food-grade silicone gasket for easy cleaning. The silicone gasket covers the stainless steel lid, so the lid does not impart any metallic taste.

Does the stainless steel cap screw directly onto the glass?

Yes! Our zero plastic, stainless steel lid screws safely onto the glass, creating a leakproof seal with a food-grade silicone gasket. In our effort to eliminate plastic, we chose not to use plastic threads in our Glass Original Bottle lid. You may notice some friction as the stainless steel lid closes against the glass, however it does not affect safety or performance and is a small trade-off for a cleaner, plastic-free design.

Is my bottle free from lead and BPA/BPS?

The Glass Original Bottle, lid, and silicone sleeve are free from lead, non-toxic- BPA/BPS-free, and phthalate-free.

Can I put my bottle in the dishwasher?

The Glass Original Bottle is fully dishwasher safe, including the silicone sleeve and lid. For a deeper clean, we recommend hand washing with warm, soapy water and using our Bottle Brush to get into the small mouth opening. Let the bottle dry with the lid removed. Do not use cleaners containing bleach, chlorine, abrasives and/or other harsh chemicals.

Is the silicone sleeve removable?

It is not necessary to remove the silicone sleeve for dishwashing. If you need to remove the sleeve, carefully twist and pull it off.

Can I bring my bottle through airport security?

Yes, you can bring your bottle through airport security. Be sure to remove all liquids before bringing it through security.

Not worth the price

"I'm really disappointed in this product. I was looking for a bottle that wouldn't influence the taste of my water and was hopeful this would be it. Alas, the silicone of the straw makes my water taste like chemicals. Without the straw, it still happens because of the silicone in the lid. I've boiled both and washed them repeatedly with no change. The top also chips super easily so my black cap has silver bits all over it after just a couple weeks. Would not recommend, especially for the price. Neat concept and design, but the taste it causes is just terrible and the cap's powder coating could be much better."

Awesome with 2 accessories

"It is awesome! I like drinking my electrolyte mixes in this and taking it with me all day. I really like the water bottle form factor and that its made of glass. I do think you should get 2-3 of their silicone ice cube thing trays because it’s so much less hassle than regular ice cubes and also the holder ring accessory. The only suggestion and what kept it from being 5 stars for me is that I was looking for a bit more capacity like around 32 oz."

S’well original glass bottle

"The glass is thick and strong, and the lavender silicone is a beautiful color. I don’t care for straws but it did come with a nice glass one with lavender silicone to stay nicely inside the bottle when closed. Unfortunately upon inspection I experienced a rubbing sound when carefully closing the metal cap against the glass bottle. I don’t k ow if this design would have affected the function (keeping glass in tact); but I didn’t feel comfortable in the idea. Hence spending $20 at UPS to return for a $35 purchase was not in my budget. S’well team went above and beyond in customer care. They refunded me and yes I have gone back to the stainless S’well bottle afterall. Lol Thanks for the sharing of ideas here. Happy hydrating😊 All."
