The Glass+ Travel Tumbler is made from high-quality, borosilicate glass with an insulated stainless steel sleeve. While the sleeve provides extra protection, we still urge you to treat it carefully and use caution. If your glass tumbler breaks or cracks, dispose of it right away.
Does my tumbler contain any plastic? What is it made from?
The Glass+ Travel Tumbler is 100% plastic-free. The inner tumbler is made from high-quality borosilicate glass, the insulated sleeve is made from 18/8, food-grade stainless steel, and the lid and straw are made from 18/8 stainless steel and food-grade silicone.
Is my tumbler insulated?
Yes, it is fully insulated. The outer stainless steel sleeve is designed with triple layer vacuum insulation to keep drinks colder or hotter for longer.
Can my tumbler be used for hot drinks?
Yes, it can be used for hot drinks. We urge you to use caution with hot liquids and allow the drink to cool to a drinkable temperature before using. Make sure the lid is fully tightened after filling with hot liquids.
Can I put my tumbler in the freezer?
The Glass+ Travel Tumbler is freezer-safe when empty. Do not freeze with liquids inside.
Can I put my tumbler in the microwave?
The outer stainless steel sleeve is not microwave safe, but the inner glass tumbler can be microwaved.
Can I put carbonated drinks in my tumbler?
Yes, the tumbler can be used with carbonated beverages. Use extra caution when the leakproof straw cover is closed, as it may cause additional pressure to build inside the tumbler. Open the straw cover and lid slowly and carefully.
What is the tumbler lid made from?
The lid is made from 18/8 stainless steel with a removable food-grade silicone gasket and straw for easy cleaning.
Does the stainless steel lid screw directly onto the glass?
Yes! Our plastic-free, stainless steel lid screws safely onto the glass, creating a leakproof seal with a food-grade silicone gasket and straw cover. In our effort to eliminate plastic, we chose not to use plastic threads in the lid. You may notice some friction as the stainless steel lid closes against the glass, however it does not affect safety or performance and is a small trade-off for a cleaner, plastic-free design.
Is my tumbler free from lead and BPA/BPS?
The Glass+ Travel Tumbler and lid are free from lead, non-toxic, and BPA/BPS-free.
How do I clean my tumbler?
The Glass+ Travel Tumbler is fully dishwasher safe. To clean, simply twist the outer sleeve and gently separate it from the glass insert. For a deeper clean, you can disassemble the lid by pulling the straw out from the top, then removing the silicone gasket. Place all parts in the dishwasher or hand wash with warm, soapy water. To reassemble, replace the silicone gasket first, ensuring the edges are fully pressed in through the opening, then insert the straw through the top of the lid and press until secure. Let it dry with the lid, straw, gasket, and sleeve removed. Do not use cleaners containing bleach, chlorine, abrasives and/or other harsh chemicals.
