As many of you know, I started S’well with a mission to rid the world of plastic bottles. Never before has this seemed more important than now, when we use 50 billion water bottles a year in the U.S. and less than half are recycled. This means that billions of bottles end up in landfills, waterways and other undesirable locations each year!
While these statistics may be overwhelming, I can’t help but see the amazing opportunity we have to create change — to reduce our use of plastic bottles, recycle more items and start to overhaul our daily habits for the benefit of Mother Nature (and our lives).
An Earth Day, Every Day mindset can be our ticket to positive change.
The changes we make don’t have to be time consuming or over the top. In fact, the simplest solutions can often have the greatest impact. Start with assessing your daily routine and determining what small steps you can take today to create change. Is it leaving the house with a reusable bottle full of water? Is it making a conscious decision to use cloth bags at the grocery store or purchase products with less plastic packaging? Determine what works for you and take action.
Please join S’well this Earth Week as we celebrate #earthdayeveryday and share interesting insights and tips to help us all #reducetheuse with small, but transformative actions.
Cheers to making a difference!
